Imagine Ceausescu returning 20 years after he was overthrown and executed. What would he make of the new Romania? What would he think when he sees that those who have made themselves rich under capitalism are those who were once closest to him? An idea at once preposterous and absurd. The filmmakers revels in the comedy it produces. Grimly, he surveys the infatuation with cars, money and advertising, and the 'success' of the new improved Kapitalism.
