Buenos Aires is a port, but no-one there seems to think of it in that way. The water seems distant. To encounter it one must leave downtown and make one's way to the northern waterside path. Here there is incredible chaos, noise, and machines, people who fish, cook, and play chess. This is a different city, a city of details.
