UK Premiere
Part of A Conversation in Europe at LIDF with the Barbican.
In 2005, police raided a flat in Sarajevo, arresting two young European men in possession of explosives and about to embark on a suicide bombing – another example of the emergence of jihad and martyrdom as new and threatening realities within Europe. Why are increasing numbers of young Muslim men actively preparing to bring holy war to the European countries of their birth?
Director Oscar Hedin spent 3 years filming a world rarely seen in the media, seeking out and recording the lives of these young radicals.
Followed by Q&A with director Oscar Hedin.
