The call for applications to join our Volunteer Crew is now open. The LIDF relies each year on the generosity of our team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. This is a brilliant opportunity for gaining work experience, expanding your skills, and making new connections both before and during the festival.

There are many opportunities at the LIDF and volunteers are involved in all aspects of the festival planning and presentation.

Our volunteers are very much the face of the LIDF. They meet and greet audiences and guests, they assist by answering questions, helping to run venues, acting as interpreters, distributing marketing material, working at the festival Hub, assisting in creating stimulating panels for LIDF debates, with office work, data entry, writing copy, and being part of the LIDF video production team.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Marketing Assistants
Identifying key groups, companies, and communities, which would have an interest in the subject matter and themes of particular films, and contacting them, informing them about the film or films, and sending them specific emails and other material to raise their interest.

Film Print Traffic Assistant
Working with the Print Traffic Controller to check and deliver films to venues and ensure safe return.

No role is rigid, and many of you will be helping each other out, participating in more than one activity, according to your knowledge, skills, schedules and availability.
