Regulations
ELIGIBILITY AND WARRANTIES
1. All entrants must complete the official on-line entry form and make final submission on or before January 31st 2012.
2. Entrant confirms and warrants that the submitted work is their own and infringes no copyright.
3. Submissions must not have previously won an award or prize of any kind.
4. Entrant will allow use of their images in promotional use in all media and at ‘live’ Festival events.
5. Use of the on-line Entry Form and payment assumes acceptance of the LIDF Entry Regulations.
SELECTION
1. Winning entries will be contacted by e-mail by February 28th 2012 at the latest.
2. For publicity purposes, winning entries will be required to supply at least 1 photograph of the photographer, plus a short biography and statement about the winning image.
3. In the event that no entries are received, no prize will be awarded.
4. The Judges decision is final and binding.
ENTRY REGULATIONS
1. Only completed entries (Entry Form, payment, and photos) will be processed and considered for competition.
2. Entries can be submitted on-line via the Entry Form.
3. Each photographer can upload a maximum of 10 images.

ENTRY FEES
1. Each submission must be accompanied by the appropriate Entry Fee. Entry Fees are not refundable. Payment may be made on-line when the Entry Form is submitted. All payments must be in UK sterling.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
1. Each entrant shall retain ownership of all intellectual property rights in the entry. However, by entering the competition entrant grants LIDF, but solely in relation to the promotion and/or advertising of the LIDF2012, a non-exclusive, 12 month, worldwide, royalty-free license to modify, rearrange, copy, reproduce and adapt the images only to fit the format required for product web pages and marketing materials, and to publish and use the photographs themselves for the duration of the rights, in any and all media, in any language, throughout the world, and in any manner without further review, notice, approval, consideration, or compensation. The LIDF will not commercially exploit the Photographs and all such rights of commercial exploitation remain with the entrant.
WARRANTY AND INDEMNITY
1. Participants warrant that their photographs are their own original work and, as such, they are the sole and exclusive owner and rights holder of the submitted photographs and that they have the right to submit the photographs in the Competition and grant all required licenses. Each entrant agrees not to submit any entry that (1) infringes any third party proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity or confidentiality obligations; or (2) participants also warrant that they have not submitted their entry on behalf of a team or any other entity.
The closing date for submissions is January 31st 2012.
LIDF reserves the right to rule on all issues not expressly covered by these regulations.
