From Abel Ferrara’s new documentary ‘Piazza Vittorio’ featuring Willem Dafoe to an opera performed by homeless people, from short films about refugees to animated docs, the London International Documentary Festival presents a diverse and stimulating line-up of the best documentaries from established and emerging talent. Truly international in scope the programme will entertain as well as stimulate debate and stir passions.

Now in it’s eleventh year the Festival presents another provocative and inspiring lineup investigating areas of personal and global politics. Our host venue this year is ‘Close-Up’ Cinema and Bar (https://www.closeupfilmcentre.com), a wonderful venue situated in Shoreditch and home also to Vertigo magazine and a library of 20,000 films and books making Close-Up the most comprehensive independent film resource in London.
