Based on the real histories of female convicts in a Neapolitan jail, Abel Ferrara’s Napoli, Napoli, Napoli interweaves prison interviews with dramatisations of their lives to create a compelling, multi-layered picture of the underbelly of a great Italian city.
Don Boyd Retrospective
With a career spanning more than 35 years, Don Boyd is the creative mainspring behind dozens of movies, documentaries and works for television. As a director, his many ground-breaking documentaries include Andrew and Jeremy get Married, Full Frontal with Flip-flops and The Passions of Louis Malle, about the great French film director.

Mainstream – An Evening with Dan Perjovschi
Presented in association with the Romanian Cultural Institute the artist Dan Perjovschi – subject and star of Anna Marziano’s film-portrait Mainstream – will be in conversation with Maeve Polkinhorn (Tate curator) following a screening of the film. Afterwards, the LIDF is happy to welcome the audience to a reception and glass of wine.
